Take Action Today!

Have you started to change your thinking? One less coffee or fast food run? Writing down every time you open your wallet or pull out change for a vending machine. Thought about coupons - everyday I see a new idea from some very creative individuals on how to save money. You just have to decide you want to be one of them. Then take that extra cash and put it aside - before you know it you have enough to open an account and the changes will really begin........

Your future can be bright and full of possibilities. Life becomes exciting and full of passion.
It is so simple with some planning and thoughtful decisions. In the last post I promised to discuss some of the steps in more detail.

The one that seems to be the biggest challenge is PAY YOURSELF FIRST.

Do you realize that all the business's believe you have enough money for their products. All the marketing makes you believe you can't live without them. Food chains sell the concept of convenience. And they all sell the perception of lifestyle.............

They are all saying GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!
The question for you is WHO ARE YOU GOING TO LISTEN TO?

I have been saving 20% of my salary for the past 10 years to try and make up for lost time.
I wish i would have understood how saving $8.00 a day could have changed my life. I wouldn't be trying to catch up today..

The part my family did well was to make choices along the way.......

I didn't need the biggest house in the neighborhood or the most expansive car, I don't have a closet full of designer clothes, shoes and handbags. My kids didn't own every game system or get everything they wanted. What we did have was the quality of life we wanted - then and now.

So we as a family created a model "filter" that we would use before making decisions.
What do we really want from life? We decided -
1. To spend time together
2. To travel and explore the world
3. We wanted freedom - freedom for options and choices.
4. To think of others and give back to our community, our country and the world.
5. Personal growth from education and experiences.

Any decision goes through this filter. If we were offered a job that paid more $ but would require more hours than we were willing to work - we didn't take it, if eating out every night affected the travel we wanted to do - we cooked at home, if a bigger house affected our ability to take classes or help others - we didn't move.

You need to reflect on what is really important to you - and have a filter. This way you are living your life the way YOU want to. You aren't trapped by debt and stress.

This simple model has left me with no regrets. I never wake up and wonder what happen to my life. We were patient and loved every moment that we created for ourselves.

I want the same for you!

Put down that expensive coffee and start creating your life!
Stay tuned.....
